The Scriptures

We believe that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God," by which we understand the whole Bible is inspired in the sense that holy men of God "were moved by the Holy Spirit" to write the very words of Scripture. We believe that the Scriptures are without error. We also believe and teach that the Scriptures are the final authority in doctrine and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).

The Godhead

We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, same attributes, and perfections, and worthy of precisely the same reverence, confidence, and obedience (Matt. 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 1:4-6).

Salvation

We believe that God, in His mercy, has provided a way of rescue for sinful humanity - forgiveness of sins, deliverance from His judgment, and return to a right relationship with Him to enjoy the full benefits of His grace both in this life and forever in His presence (Eze. 36:24-27; John 1:12, 3:3-8; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1:7). This He accomplished through the atoning death of Jesus Christ on the cross to pay the penalty of our transgression against Him, and through His resurrection which provides eternal life for those who freely receive the gift of grace, acknowledging that there is no other means of redemption and salvation (John 5:24; Rom. 3:21-26; Heb. 2:17; Eph. 2:8-9).

Santification

We believe that santification is a setting apart unto God by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. This santification is positional, progressive, and perfect. Positional Santification is already complete once the believer places faith in Jesus Christ, he is set apart unto God. However, since the believer retains his sinful nature, there is a need for progressive santification, whereby the christian grows in grace through the ministry and power of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the people of God will be set apart completely from sin when in the presence of the risen Christ, and shall become like Him (John 17:17; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 5:25-27; 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 10:10, 14, 12:10).

The Great Commission

We believe that it is the message of our Lord Jesus Christ to those whom He has saved that they are sent forth by Him in the world. We believe that, after they are saved, they are divinely reckoned to be related to this world as strangers and pilgrims, ambassadors, and witnessess, and that their primary purpose should be to make Christ known to the world (Matt. 25:18-19; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; 1 Peter 1:17; 2:11).
